Welcome!

Welcome to the PtokaX Portal!

Here you can find the PtokaX Lua Board and PtokaX-related downloads. PtokaX is a multithreaded hub software for Direct Connect protocol written in C++ and its functionality can easily be extended with scripts written in Lua, the popular lightweight scripting language.

In the forum you can find discussions mostly related to PtokaX and Lua scripting. If you haven't yet signed up, please do so!

We all hope you will enjoy your stay here!

New PtokaX is here :P Major changes are IPv6 support, Lua api allowing to change users info (description, connection, tag etc.) and of course Lua 5.2.x support. Except that have few minor new things (User is not disconnected when have wrong ip in command, but ip is replaced with correct one when it is possible. New command to reg user without password, user is asked for password by hub), many bugfixes and minor changes.

This version use new IP to Country database. Get it from http://software77.net/geo-ip/?DL=1&x=Download for IPv4 and http://software77.net/geo-ip/?DL=7&x=Download for IPv6. Unpack content of archives to PtokaX_dir/cfg/  (or PtokaX_config_dir/cfg/) 8)

Compile guides are in PtokaX Wiki http://wiki.ptokax.org/doku.php?id=guides

Lua extension libs compatible with Windows version are available in Extensions for PXLUA part of board (Look for sticky topics. You need libs compatible with PtokaX build 376 and higher ;)).

15 Jan 2012 - Note to new Registrants

A new Security Feature has been implemented which restricts registering to this site from certain countries (currently CN, IN, AF, UA, RU)
this has been added to let them access the website in full but they can not register themselves. If a User from one of these Countries wishes to register to this Board they can apply via the PtokaX Admins Hub.
All this does is block from registering, so once registered by a Mod/Admin they will be able to login without problems, or at least they should be able to  ;D
Current Users from any of these countries shouldn't have any problems logging in either.
New PtokaX is here:

04 Feb 2011 - Mobile-friendly site

The site should be mobile-friendly, ie. it displays a astripped-down version when accessed from mobile browsers (yeah, same URL). It has been tested on Android and BlackBerry and it works (for me, at least). Please try it out and share your thoughts about it.
